Before bidding, read each description carefully. Pay close attention to all restrictions and limitations. Values are based on retail prices as provided by each donor. All hotels and air transportation are subject to availability and blackout dates may apply. Hotel nights must be consecutive unless otherwise stated. Expiration dates cannot be extended. See "SALES TERMS" below for additional information.
ELECTRONIC BIDDING INSTRUCTIONS
- You will receive a text message and/or an email message with a link directing you to the mobile bidding site.
- To verify your name, select the “Yes!” button.
- Search packages by number, keyword, or category and select the package you wish to bid on.
- You can bid the next increment, set a max bid, or build a "Watch" list to watch packages that you might be interested in bidding on later.
- Placing a max bid works just like eBay. If your max bid is the highest, the system will automatically bid in your favor until you are outbid or until the silent auction closes.
- To place a straight bid, uncheck the max bidding box to turn the max bid feature off.
- If you are out-bid, you will receive an outbid text message.
- To get back to the main screen, tap the Home icon.
- To go to your list of bids and open items you are currently winning, select the menu button and select “My List.”
- To find out what packages have no bids, select “No Bid Packages.”
- The silent auction will close at 11:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21. Be sure to watch the event timer in the middle of your screen to get your final bids in before closing.
LIVE AUCTION
- For event attendees, the Live Auction will begin around 8:00 p.m.
- Your bid number is located on your name tag and your bid paddle. Please use this number for the LIVE AUCTION.
- Bids are made on an item by raising your hand and bid card. Spotters throughout the room will recognize your bid and bring it to the attention of the auctioneer. Don’t be shy!
- Acceptance of the high bid becomes a binding obligation to purchase. The auctioneer will announce the close of bidding and a volunteer will immediately bring an invoice to you for signing.

GENERAL
- ALL SALES ARE FINAL. There will be no exchanges on items except where specified. Please note specifications, expiration dates and limitations carefully before bidding on an item. Items not used will not be refunded.
- All services, trips, gift certificates, parties and similar items must be used within one year of the event unless otherwise noted and are subject to availability.

- Every attempt has been made to describe the auction items correctly, but all items are sold “as is” with no warranties expressed or implied. No statement contained online or made orally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed to be such a warranty, representation or assumption of liability. By purchasing, the buyer waives any claim for liability against either Denver Academy or the donor of the property or services and neither Denver Academy nor the donor of the property or services is responsible for any personal injury or damages to property that may result from the utilization of property or services sold.
- If an item is sold for more than fair market value, the difference between the purchase price and the fair market value is deductible as a donation. Where it is not possible to establish a fair market value for one-of-a-kind items, the purchase price will be presumed to be the fair market value, and no part of the payment will be considered a contribution. Please consult your financial advisor.
- Neither Denver Academy, the venue, nor any agents associated with the Gala, shall assume responsibility for items not claimed.
