RULES

PACE OF PLAY:  We have purposely kept our field of golfers at a low number so as to keep the pace of play under five hours.  We will have Fore-Caddies on the course at six select holes to help you locate balls and assist with questions or comments.  If a team records its best possible score, the remaining member/members may pickup and proceed to the next hole.

TIN CUP FLIGHT

FORMAT:   Four Player-Two Best Balls Combined

Four players on the team each play their own ball throughout the round.  The two best NET scores on each hole are combined and that is the score for that hole.  (Example:  players' NET scores are 4,5,6,6.  The 4 and the 5 are combined and the team score for that hole is 9).  USGA Handicap or equivalent required.  Handicapped at 100%.

CADDY SHACK FLIGHT

FORMAT:  Four Player Shamble

All members of the team/foursome tee off and the best ball of the four tee shots is selected.  All players move their balls to within one club length of the spot of the best ball.  Club length cannot be used to improve lie.  From this point, the hole is played out at stroke play with each member of the team playing their own ball into the hole.  The best two scores are added and recorded for the team. Each team must utilize at least 3 tee shots per team member.  A tee shot is any shot taken from any tee box, regardless if it is a par 3, 4, or 5.

Double Bogey (2 shots over par) is your friend – No team can take more than 2 shots over the par for that hole (i.e. Par 4 max score of 6).  Pinehurst Country Club has a few out-of-bounds areas and these are marked by white stakes on either the right or left side of the fairway.  An out-of-bounds hit is a two stroke penalty and must be replayed from the original spot.  To help the pace of play a team member has the option of picking up his/her ball and not completing that hole if the penalty makes their score no longer an advantage to the team.

No handicaps required.
